To help deliver this, mobile technology was identified as being essential to transforming the traffic officers' role, introducing more efficient working practices and creating more time for traffic officers to be visible on the network rather than being in the outstation. Traffic officers are provided with android tablets and require access to software which enables them to submit digital forms with photo attachments and GPS tagging.
