The scanning system should interface with this probe and provide synchronous position tracking and data logging. The software should implement post processing that allows a 3D sound intensity vector field to be computed from this data and then visualised and/or exported. Required features: • Sound intensity should be computed via the time-averaged cross-spectrum between the pressure and acoustic particle velocity sensors. • The system should be able to import a 3D geometry model and calibrate the 3D tracked probe positioning data to this. • The system should be able to track both the position and the orientation of the probe. • The system should be able to compute total radiated sound power from the measured sound intensity data, both over a total enclosing measurement surface or on partial 'panels' to allow diagnostic sound power contribution from different areas. • Export of data to Matlab .mat files and graphics to suitable image and video files.
