[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (BLMK ICB) (referred to as the Commissioner) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers who currently hold either a GMS or an APMS contract/s to deliver GP services in the BLMK area, to express an interest in delivering caretaking services for Ivel Medical Centre in Biggleswade, Central Bedfordshire. The service is expected to start 1st June 2023 for a period of 18 months with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 6 months (maximum total contract duration 24 months). Please note, the deadline for ITT submissions is 10:00am on 10th March 2023. Based on the current contract it is anticipated that the service provision resultant of this procurement will have an annual baseline contract value (excluding directed enhanced services, QoF, PCN and other income streams) of £1,250,000 (+ APMS premium as stated in bidders' financial model) at the 2022-23 price. Ivel Medical Centre is situated in the pleasant market town of Biggleswade in Central Bedfordshire. Following the Covid pandemic, the practice has experienced challenges relating to access, patient demand and expectation which has led to some negative publicity in the local area about the practice and in part has impacted on recruitment and retention, particularly of GPs. The main issues have related to concerns about access, patients not being able to book appointments in person at the practice, the telephone system, and staff turnover. No concerns have been raised about the quality of patient clinical care. The Contracting Authority will be using an eTendering system for this procurement exercise.
