The contract award is made to Action for Family Carers for provision of Young Carer Lead Workers to support the "Young Carers Thrive" initiative across Mid and South Essex. The contract provision is for a Young Carer Lead Worker to work with schools and the community and run a regular Young Carer club in each District of Mid Essex. The project will support Young Carers aged 8 to 19 (approximately 100 Young Carers per year at Young Carer clubs with a further 200 Young Carers and family members supported through their schools or in the community). The contract term is 12 months, commencing 1st March 2023 and expiring on 29th February 2024, at a total aggregate Contract Value of £61,309.49.
