DMU currently has room for improvement on both Graduate Outcomes results rates and the amount of DMU students progressing into highly skilled employment. A careers system that provides a better student experience, and crucially delivers on improving our employer engagement capabilities could be seen as a game changer. With so many DMU students falling into a widening participation category, it is essential that we are providing them with market leading careers technology that will place them on a level playing field with more privileged peers. The University needs to offer a careers service platform that has a strong competitive positioning in the marketplace, which will frame the University's future offer over the next decade and best supports the Empowering University strategy. This consequently requires a careers system that supports this strategic ambition and delivers the flexibility to enable the University Careers Team to deliver on its strategic aims.
