[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender Underwater Engineering Services (UES) in the United Kingdom and worldwide, is carried out to support the Royal Navy (RN) and Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) platforms and managed on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) by the Authority (Defence, Equipment and Security (DE&S)), (Salvage and Marine Operations Delivery Team (SALMO DT)). The Authority requires one or more suppliers to deliver the following over an approximate seven-year contract including option years: - Provision of commercial diving services to UK Health and Safety Executive Diving at Work Regulations inland/inshore Approved Code of Practice both in the UK and overseas to conduct a range of underwater inspection, maintenance, and repair activities on HM ships. - Provision of services to review, update and generate new underwater engineering technical procedures, including the generation of engineering drawings and manufacturing data packs. - Provision of services to inspect, repair and manufacture, or supply specialist underwater engineering equipment including, but not limited to, hull aperture blanks, cofferdams, hull cleaning equipment and any other bespoke items required to fulfil underwater engineering tasks. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is open to all companies that have suitable experience in carrying out UES. This PIN also serves to inform potential suppliers of the intention to release a Request for Information (RFI) against a set of questions with an opportunity for interested parties to respond and present an overview of their capabilities. This information will be used to refine the scope of the Authorities requirement. Tentative dates to note (subject to change): Issue of RFI: 31 July 2023. Issue of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (DPQQ): 28 March 2024. Issue of Invitation to negotiate (ITN): 18 June 2024 (response from 19 June 2024). Contract Award: 06 February 2025.
