As well as the Department for Business and Trade, other customers for the project include HMT, Cabinet Office (CO), DCMS, DEFRA and DfE. The findings and analysis will be used in Cross-Whitehall monitoring work on preparedness and economic surveillance coordinated by the Cabinet Office, the SoS's Business Finance Council as well as the Department's/BBB's workstreams responding to the economic and financial situation of SMEs and promoting economic recovery. HMT and CO also use Experian data; the on-boarding of a leading UK expert in credit bureau data will make the Department's analysis more influential and impactful. Any reports produced by the successful bidder will be in the ownership of the Department.
