The main output of the research will be a paper for publication in an academic journal or as an XCEPT research report. It will contribute to a wider portfolio of research on how conflicts connect across borders and how policy responses should adapt, as part of the UK aid-funded Cross-Border Conflict Evidence, Policy and Trends (XCEPT) research programme. This opportunity is open to both individual researchers and research organisations. Interested applicants should propose a research idea, describe their methodology, and discuss how Global South researchers will meaningfully participate in the research, as part of a 1500-word application form. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit a full proposal.
