One of the sources is flood risk from the river Lyd and the preferred option to reducing the risk is attenuating water in the upper catchment. As Forestry England (FE) own a significant amount of land we are working in partnership to deliver a range of natural flood management measures which can lower flood risk by slowing the flow of water, reconnecting the watercourse with the floodplain, and reducing erosion risk.
