Through this programme, Cefas provide authoritative scientific information on the marine and transitional waters in the vicinity of potential new build nuclear power stations and require a competent Supplier to deliver the following; Cefas require two shallow water multibeam bathymetric surveys to IHO Special Order (at a minimum) within the Greater Sizewell Bay (GSB). Both surveys will take place over the spring tide windows (4 days approximately), with one in April-May 2023 (the 'Spring Survey') and the second survey in September-October 2023 (the 'Autumn Survey'). Both surveys will require nearshore transects to assess geomorphological changes of two longshore bars, alongside a combination of offshore Areas of Interest (AOI). Backscatter will be required to be processed and delivered for all areas within both surveys.
