Locally, this service covers all 10 GM localities, with the service delivering primarily a nasal spray flu vaccine, and more recently the intramuscular (IM) flu vaccines to all applicable cohorts. The extension allows for the inclusion of the pending national decisions on the development of the national immunisation strategy, the regional insight work that has been initiated and devolvement of immunisation services to ICBs as we are still awaiting this guidance which will be critical to the service specification and will inform future decisions on the service model for GM.
