As NPL is developing the understanding of linewidth measurement techniques in the context of various applications involving many different laser types, lasers with a narrow linewidth and tuneability over a range of wavelengths are required to perform heterodyne measurements of the devices under test. The primary requirement is for two lasers, one at 780nm and one at 795nm as these are the two wavelengths of interest to us now with regards to this measurement.
