JDR is organised into a variety of projects, each delivering an agreed part of the overall technical scope required to deliver the programme. JET deploys a remote handling system for the maintenance and upgrade of the tokamak. A test stand is required to provide the necessary functionality to allow existing devices, the 3rd Arm and winch, to be load tested in conformance with relevant test plans and operation manuals for the purpose of regulatory compliance.
