Due sea and weather damage at the eastern cliff in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, emergency works were required and the framework agreement cited was utilised to award a call off contract to appoint a contractor to assess the scale of the damage and work with the Authority to carry out remedial works. The scale of the contract was not initially known due to the urgent and reactive nature of the works. The site progressively got worse as further bad weather impacted the damage.
