The tool is required to facilitate participants in the Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS) to estimate their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accurately and easily. The project also aims to develop an in-depth LCA methodology of AD facilities, carrying out case studies and comprehensive assessments based on the developed methodology. In the absence of this project, it is likely that greenhouse gas emissions from the process of AD of waste, residue and crops will be incorrectly accounted for, and DESNZ will not have accurate information on the climatic impact of AD that is needed to inform how AD is supported.
