AI assurance is set to play a critical role in enabling the responsible adoption of AI and supporting the UK governments' proposed regulatory framework, and was referenced in the UK's AI regulation white paper (there as "tools for trustworthy AI, underlining the current issues around terminology). We have engaged with industry previously through roundtables, interviews and a small-scale survey, which we thematically analysed and led to the publication of our industry temperature check at the end of 2022.
