SCC is implementing a Class C Charging Clean Air Zone ("CAZ") which imposes charges for all higher emission vehicles, except private cars, driving in the centre of Sheffield from early 2023. As part of the CAZ implementation, the Council is providing support packages to businesses and individuals likely to be charged. One of the key parts of that support package is the CAZ Financial Assistance Scheme which will provide subsidised vehicle finance and pay out grants to eligible applicants.
