However, this environment brings higher levels of alcohol consumption, increased levels of risk-taking behaviour, alcohol and substance misuse, accidental injury, and violent crime. Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking for a provider to deliver first aid support in the night time economy from 6pm- 4am Friday and Saturday night supporting a safe haven hub. The aim of The Service is to improve support to those who have become vulnerable in the night time economy, especially after alcohol or substance misuse.
