Included in this is £150m for 25 local areas to demonstrate how practical innovative actions can work to improve resilience to flooding and coastal erosion. A key focus for the programme team is to provide a package of strategic support to enable projects to capture, evaluate and share learning. One recommendation was the need to support the 25 projects with the collection, reporting and analysis of resilience data, to provide a data platform, and to clarify how each project could use data to capture and share the learning from their flood and innovative resilience actions.
