The paper identifies a need to ensure all FE providers are well managed, governed and have the best quality teachers and lecturers. In doing so, we will ensure that post-16 further education students have access to world-class technical and vocational education, providing the skills both individuals and employers need for the future economy. The DfE is considering how best it achieves delivery of the strategy through the provision of activities that support effective training, professional development, and recruitment within the FE sector. This incorporates the teaching workforce, governance professionals and FE provider governors. Additional information: This Early Supplier Engagement is focused on gathering information about organisations who have the requisite capabilities and interest in supporting the FE sector in the future.
