It is to be noted that Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) DO NOT apply in relation to this procurement exercise. Crosby Coastal Park is located 11 km north of Liverpool Centre and covers an area alongside the coast heading north for several kilometres from Waterloo. The park has direct links to several attractions including the beach, Anthony Gormley's statues and Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists. The scheme is focused on the provision of over 2 km of new cycleway / footpath in the Crosby Coastal Park from north of Crosby Leisure Centre to the start of the park at Cambridge Road in the south. There are a few residential properties that back onto the park and will be close to the route of the new cycleway / footway. The works will also involve the widening of the existing Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre access road from Cambridge Road with associated drainage works.
