Since 2008, local authorities have had sole responsibility for discharging responsibilities for stray dogs. Sections 149 and 150 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Environmental Protection (Stray Dogs) Regulations 1992 set out the provisions and duties of local authorities for seizing and dealing with stray dogs. The council also has legal obligations under the Microchipping of Dogs Regulations 2015 and the Animal Welfare Act 2006. The Council is currently looking to undertake outsourcing 'Stray Dog' service to include collection, kennelling and rehoming of stray dogs. The Council is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to Tenderers and all communications with the Council, including the submission of Tenderers' Responses, will be conducted via the ProContract system, which can be accessed using the following link: [procontract.due-north.com/Login](https://procontract.due-north.com/Login) Suppliers not currently registered on the ProContract procurement portal can complete a simple registration process by clicking the following link and registering [businessportal.southeas.gov.uk](https://www.businessportal.southeas.gov.uk) ## CPV classification Dog kennel services Source Contracts Finder (UK) [View official notice](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/a8f1072f-e9ab-439a-9c37-19ac0ee548cf) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
