The National Outpatient Transformation Programme has included a focus on initiatives to reduce unnecessary outpatient activity, including through use of Patient Initiated Follow Up models. To enhance this programme NHSE/I is commissioning a partner to provide subject matter expertise, capacity, and development of an alternative model to current outpatient delivery. The commission is for a programme of work to develop this key and challenging work programme for up to a 5 month period.
