Equipment which meets applicable standards are permitted to be used to screen both Hold and Cabin bags in aviation security. These systems are tested and approved for use by a common testing methodology (CTM) and conducted within the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), Common Evaluation Process (CEP).
