The new requirement will seek to obtain a new fleet of modems and equipment to replace the PMS, thereby upgrading and increasing the current capability. This upgrade will contribute to ensuring a resilient, protected and highly assured sovereign SATCOM capability is maintained. This is part of the wider Skynet programme which seeks to replace and upgrade from existing military SATCOM assets. The security classification for this requirement is up to and including UK SECRET- 5-Eyes only level.
