The main tunnel will run from Acton Storm Tanks in west London to Abbey Mills Pumping Station in the east, where it will connect to the Lee Tunnel, which will transfer the combined sewage to Beckton Sewage Treatment Works for treatment. The Project extends from Acton Storm Tanks in west London, to Abbey Mills Pumping Station in east London. The Project includes associated works at Beckton STW, Shad Thames Pumping Station and Bekesbourne Street. The geographic layout of the Project and local authorities through which it passes is shown in Figure 1. The Project comprises: - tunnels: - a main tunnel which will capture and store combined sewage from CSOs along its route and transfer it to Abbey Mills Pumping Station, from where the Lee Tunnel will transfer it for treatment at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works ii. 11 connection tunnels, which will link flows from CSOs to the main tunnel. - Worksites: - five main tunnel Worksites (drive and/or reception sites) ii. 16 CSO Worksites iii. two System modification Worksites Thames Tideway Tunnel iv. works at Beckton Sewage Treatment works. ### Scope of Works ### Complete remaining secant piles Local excavation and break back piles to expose the reinforcement Design, Supply and Install of formwork to capping beam Cast capping beam to levels indicated in drawing 3320-AAJV-CARRR-540-SZ-DR-000005 below to act as waling beams including couplers for internal walls and slab where required. Design, Supply and Install temporary props in accordance with temporary works drawings provided ### Excavation to +98.100mATD Install the dowel bars into the male piles. Design, Supply and Install Formwork for RC base slab - sumps and upstands ### Cast RC base slab Design, Supply and Install Formwork for RC liner walls ### Cast RC liner walls Design, Supply and Install Formwork for RC internal walls and beams ### Cast all RC internal walls and beams Design, Supply and Install Formwork for slab at ground level Cast 3.8m width slab at ground level ### Removal of temporary props Design, Supply and Install of falsework to cast top slab ### Fill pocket of RC internal wall Pour top slab in stages as agreed with the Contractor ### Striking of falsework Design, Supply and Install of formwork to top slab upstands.
