Designated laboratories will assure compliance with the UK Guidelines on a batch by batch basis and acceptable batches will be required to be reserved for the different Blood Services use. The full and pro-active cooperation of the supplier(s) to enable this validation is essential. These contracted reagents will be used by Donor Testing and Red Cell Immuno-haematology laboratories of NHSBT, Scotland and Wales.
