The Greening Eden Businesses Project can be usefully broken down in to two connected elements; environmental audits of the carbon footprint of individual businesses and the development and management of a capital grant programme to reduce the carbon footprint of these businesses. The role of the specialist provider would fall in to two main areas. - The specialist advisor would work with Eden businesses and be expected to undertake a diagnostic of their business practice and physical assets and a costed action plan of recommended interventions. - The specialist advisor would oversee a capital grant scheme which will be targeted at interventions with high carbon reduction outputs that require gap funding to decrease payback periods to manageable levels.
