Motivational Interviewing is a counselling method that helps people to resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the motivation to change behaviour. The Supplier must deliver a Motivational Interviewing Training Programme for the Council's Integrated Children's Service to: - bring about better engagement with families and supporting change to improve outcomes for children; and - facilitate a culture shift that will see workers approach families with a different language and a different attitude, designed to overcome parent's resistance to accept the help on offer to address their challenges and achieve better outcomes for their children.
