It is an organisation whose statutory objective is to develop and co-ordinate a national strategy to improve people's financial capabilities. The MaPS Board has responsibility for the overall strategic direction and performance of MaPS. The Board structure comprises of the Main Board and six sub-committees. The effectiveness of the Board will be reviewed on a three year cycle, the first two years internally, and then externally in the third year. Therefore MaPS requires an external agency to review the MaPS Board and its sub-committees.
