These are achieved through the following key priorities: • Development of new childcare provision • Sustainability of childcare provision • Quality improvement of childcare provision The Council wishes to test the level of market interest in such a service before commencing any procurement process. The proposed contract period will be for two years (an initial one year duration with the option for a further one year extension). It is anticipated that the contract will begin on 1st January 2022, with a proposed maximum contract value of £610,000 (£305,000 per year). The level of interest shown in this opportunity will inform consideration of possible procurement routes for this service. Should the service be procured through a tender process, this would likely be launched in July 2021. The service set out in the draft commissioning strategy may be subject to change pending the result of this pre-market engagement notice and wider consultations.
