Ministries of Health among the UKOTs have highlighted stigma in the community towards those people with mental health problems. It remains quite a taboo subject and is likely to lead to discrinimation. They are seeking support to address this through an evidence-based approach, taking learning from other countries. PHE (The Authority) have agreed to incorporate this in the programme of support for 2020/21. The programme objective for the work in mental health is: Strengthened mental health system in each UKOT with increased capability to address the burden of mental health.
