The new macerator pumps will be retained. The Blue system must operate as a fully automatic process which neutralises the effluent produced in B270, including Chloros based disinfectants. The upgrade must provide a new, fully automatic, Redox dosing system for the neutralising of effluent loaded with Chloros based disinfectant to ensure effluent discharged to the public sewer system meets the requirements of Defra's Trade Effluent Consent Licence.
