This includes, but is not limited to, diagnostics, the development of early stage vaccine candidates and disease control methods. The Agency has an invention disclosure system and knowledge transfer staff work with scientists to evaluate new discoveries. Where appropriate these discoveries are patented and/or licenced to ensure they have maximum impact and to generate a return on the research investment. The scope of this work relates to the marketing and provision of intellectual property (IP) management services in respect to know-how and patents developed by APHA. The Agency would therefore require a supplier with experience of early stage commercialisation of (IP) know-how and patents combined with knowledge of the veterinary scientific space and commercial veterinary markets.
