The PSW provides a consistent, single point of access to expert advice, guidance and information to all parties involved in the management of medical and dental trainees. Before a trainee doctor or dentist is referred for 1:1 careers support, they must be referred to the PSW by one of their educators (i.e. Educational Supervisor, Training Programme Director). Upon receipt of the referral form, the PSW will triage the individual case and make a decision regarding what support would be beneficial to the trainee.
