The existing 500 watt amplifiers are over 25 years old and it's output has dropped. The new amplifier will have a wider frequency range, so it will save us moving another amplifier from different calibration area to do measurements from 100 to 250 MHz. Reflective low pass filters will be used on the output of the amplifiers to reduce harmonics to acceptable levels.
