Key activities will be to: - Investigate Covid-19 environmental risks and impacts (positive/negative) including impacts on Government/NGO ability to undertake environmental management programmes and including the use of social surveys in partnership with FIG; - Identify Covid-19 related environmental metrics, indicators and monitoring protocols, and the use of information management systems to collate and report on data collected; - Share results of the work with other UK Overseas Territories through a workshop at the end of the project. The Covid pandemic has, to date, had limited direct public health impacts in the Falklands but the islands have experienced other significant effects, including reduced access to imported foodstuffs, economic impacts through lack of access to markets for agriproducts and inability of fisheries vessels to land. The proposed project is a scoping exercise to assess existing and potential future impacts and how to measure and monitor these impacts.
