The research will focus on: - An international and UK literature review of the current requirements for the testing of road markings and road studs; - Investigation into, and comparison of, the advantages and disadvantages of laboratory testing versus on-road testing of products; and - Consideration of key factors associated with the testing of products, including (but not limited to) legislative requirements, safety risk, cost and robustness of test results.
