Specifically, the Consultant will provide technical expertise to support Highways England to deliver its objectives in the following areas: - severe weather information service improvements; - weather forecasting service improvements; - environmental sensor station improvements - strategic salt management; The Consultant will need to demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of requirements capture for and the specification of weather information services, weather forecasting services, as well as in-depth technical knowledge of Highways England's severe weather information service (SWIS) to support successful service delivery.
