This is part of a place-based whole systems approach to tackling obesity and promoting healthier weight. The funding must be used to commission new, or expand existing, services for adults aged 18+ and with a BMI of 30 or above (or 27.5 for specific BAME populations). We are seeking a number of provider(s) who can target one or more of these groups with a Tier 2 Weight Management Programme, and successfully support them to achieve and sustain weight loss. Each provider will retain the responsibility to provide staff who are trained to deliver tier 2 weight management programmes for the duration of the funding, and report appropriately as per the requirements. We will be awarding up to £24k per programme with an anticipatory start date of no later than 01 August 2021. Cost per head must not exceed £200. Providers are only permitted to deliver 1 programme.
