In addition, access to a second Occupational Physician is required, to provide independent assessment on employees in regards to ill health retirement for the pension fund. The Council is looking to award a contract to a single operator for an initial period of one year, with an option to extend by a further two, one year terms, dependent upon the outcome of reviews coordinated by Wakefield Council. It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 1st November 2021.
