The intention of the shock tube is to study high-pressure chemical kinetics of combustion reactions using various diagnostic equipment. The shock tube will be used to study high-pressure and high-temperature chemical kinetics of hydrogen and methane combustion, before moving onto syngas and larger hydrocarbons.
