Back in 2019, we would regularly see around 900 remote concurrent connections from staff machines. During the lockdown, this has increased by 400%. We have increased our existing capacity as far as we can and have made significant changes to the DCC laptops and used throttling of traffic to try and maintain the service for our customers. Ideally, we need to revert some of the changes, so we have a better understanding of what sites are being accessed and the removal of throttling will give everyone working from home an even better work experience. In 2020 the capacity available was increased by installing a new 10Gb BT Line link, replacing the existing 1Gb (BT Link). This procurement is to put in place a contract for 1Gb Virgin Media backup line. ## CPV classification Internet services Source Contracts Finder (UK) [View official notice](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/285666c2-ac24-4c9f-aa9c-e6ab8a2cdea1) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
