The facility intends to expand its services to include the following imaging equipment detailed below. The primary application of this system will be to obtain high-resolution images of samples during electrophysiological investigation and/or optogenetic stimulation and/or all-optical investigation. We require wide-field fluorescence microscope with a focussing nosepiece for live-cell imaging without harming the specimen in a variety of experimental conditions including but not limited to dynamic imaging of ion/voltage-sensitive dye transients. We require a high-sensitivity/speed camera for imaging of fluorescence at up to and beyond 100 frames per second or 85 frames per second at full resolution (Fast scan: 89.1 frames/s (@2304 x 2304 pixels - full frame, 16 bit). The system must be hardware compatible with the BioCam Duplex MEA system from 3brain ([3brain.com/biocam-duplex.html).The](https://www.3brain.com/biocam-duplex.html%29.The) system must also be hardware and software compatible with and the Polygon 1000 DMD patterned illuminator from Mightex and its software PolyScan ([mightexbio.com](https://www.mightexbio.com/products/patterned-illumination/polygon/)) allowing all-optical investigations.
