This service is commissioned to ensure sufficient and high quality local capacity for routine and urgent treatment for wet-AMD care for our population, initially and principally the foot print and population of mid Hampshire (circa 150,000 population) but also providing a flexible model of care to provide service as required to take the pressure off of hospital eye services HESs within Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight as agreed with commissioners. A compliant mini competition was completed using the national Increasing Capacity Framework. The contract is due to commence on 1st January 2022.
