The prime aim of the service is to safeguard patients and the health and safety of the students. To achieve this, the service will need to have clinical and administrative facilities close to the teaching schools in the Faculty from where the students will be referred. Its practitioners must address the issues identified by the Schools on referral and work with other healthcare professionals and Newcastle University Student Wellbeing Service to achieve these aims.
