This study will focus on interventions that are implementable in the immediate to short term; Radio Based Limited Supervision (RBLS) and European Train Control System (ETCS) are considered to be the medium to long-term ideal mitigations against train over-speeding risk, and this project doesn't intend to overlap or question the work that industry is doing on these interventions and their roll-out. •Analyse and rate the technological interventions, assessing each option against an agreed criteria, to inform whether and which intervention merits further analysis. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
