The supplier will work with a range of stakeholders including, but not limited to, local car dealerships and local scrap metal dealers. The supplier will be responsible for arranging the auditable destruction of non-compliant vehicles using Authorised Treatment Facilities. The contract is determined to be a concession contract pursuant to the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 and over the value of the OJEU concession threshold. The duration of the contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further two years and will be terminated if grant funding is exhausted before the end of the term. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
