Highways England is also supporting cities by applying the strategy to complete preliminary designs for signs on the SRN for the first cities (including Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Newcastle, Bristol and Greater Manchester) as they develop their CAZ implementation plans. Lesson learned from developing the preliminary designs for signs on the SRN to support the Greater Manchester CAZ mean there is now a need to modify the signing strategy to enable publication.
