The equipment will be used in two scenarios: a) creation of picosecond electrical pulses to drive an electro-optical modulator, in order to convert a continuous wave laser into an arbitrary pulsed source; b) creation of complex electrical pulse sequences for microwave-frequency manipulation of electrical charges in semiconductor quantum dots. This is an non-EU open exercise.
